Enlisted families celebrate the season Friday at 26th Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club Winter Wonderland

The holiday season is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. But for many in the Offutt Air Force Base community, the holidays are a reminder of hardships, like separation from loved ones. That’s why 26 years ago, the Offutt Enlisted Spouses Club began hosting Winter Wonderland, a festive evening that helps military families feel at home in our community. The 26th Anniversary OESC Winter Wonderland is Friday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lied Activity Center in Bellevue.

Open to all enlisted active duty and retired service members and family members who purchased tickets, the evening includes dinner and a family photo with Santa. Children can play games, do arts and crafts, have their faces painted and enjoy balloon animals. Best of all, each child 12 and under receives an age and gender appropriate gift valued at an estimated $15.

Tickets, which are now sold out, were just $1 because of generous donors that cover the cost of the event.
